Stachys – Byzantina (Lambs Ears) Seeds

Generally known as “Lambs Ears” Good ground cover, with furry silver grey leaves, produces tall spikes of pink flowers in summer which are adored by Bees and other pollinating insects.

Stachys spreads readily and prefers a nice sunny position where left undisturbed they can cover quite a distance, always surrounded by bees. DO keep their crowns dry and if in a pot, always water from below.

We usually divide these to increase our stock but we thought we would try from seed.

Sow in Spring, Cover lightly with seed compost and cover with a lid until germinated, then prick out and grow on.
