Alliums are perfect for placing into a border where there is a gap between spring flowers and early summer growth. This marvellous family provides endless nectar for our pollinators and also provides drama and colour just when we want it!
Nectaroscordum is an interesting candelabra bulb, which flowers all through May and June — and has splendid architectural seed heads for the vase or to be left on display. Growing happily in shade it can also self-sow.
The flowers are fascinating; broad bell shaped nodding green/white flowers with pink stripes of 20-30 flowers.
