Allium Christophii – The Star of Persia – 2 bulbs in a 2 litre pot

The Star of Persia has unbelievably HUGE flower heads of hundreds of perfect Persian Stars, the more you look the more mesmerising they are….  A Gorgeous Allium for attractive beneficial insects and all pollinators they are a “heaven sent Lollipop” for shape, structure and form throughout the year.

Chrstophii blooms  late May/June on 60 cm very thick sturdy stems with up to 30 cm diameter flowers.  I think that because they are so huge in flower they cannot also be tall and I like to dot these smaller allium around and in between other plants where they prove to be hardy and reliable.
