Asclepias – Apollo (Butterfly Weed) Seeds

This variety is smaller than Incarnata with bi-coloured flowers of Red/Orange  with yellow centers, on plants that grow to 3 feet tall. Although perennial, it will require a little more shelter. These plants are also late starters but give outstanding value. They are visited by all pollinating insects and continue to flower very profusely with new blooms produced as the stems grow into the late autumn becoming a solid multi-stemmed bush.

Surface sow indoors onto moist well prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth, press seeds into soil and lightly cover. Ideal temp. 20-23°C. Germination takes 14-21 days.
