Centaurea Nigra (Black Knapweed) Seeds

This is our native Black Knapweed.  Growing to 3 feet it grows into a sturdy clump and start flowering by late May/June.  The bees and butterflies  cannot resist this little bright purple thistle flower and it flowers over a very long period.  It is a very important part of a natural habitat for wildlife and  insects.

Sow seed in Autumn in pots or in trays as usual.

Or sow direct, where it is to grow in Spring
