Geranium- Johnsons Blue – 2 litre pot
We love this Geranium – ‘Johnson’s Blue’ is one of our original standby’s for blue in the border, with large, veined, lavender-blue flowers that fade to pearl grey as they mature. It’s our kind of plant as it is informal, slightly sprawly that looks best when allowed to spread – it’s an excellent choice for groundcover although is grows to 35cm, it is not a low carpet plant, but perfect for a cottage garden, it works well with old fashioned roses. Its blooms are a magnet for bees. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it an Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
Grow Geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’ in moist but well-drained soil in sun to partial shade. Cut plants back after flowering to encourage a second flush of blooms.
