Kolkwitzia ‘Pink’ 5 litres

A deciduous, dense shrub with simple, opposite leaves and clusters of very large pretty bell-shaped pink flowers, marked with deep yellow in the throat.  Kolkwitzia tend to grow with long arching stems and so appear “fountain like”, they grow best NOT in a pot, they just don’t seem to be able to settle, whereas when planted in the middle of a border they compliment all the surrounding perennials.

I would say that they are relatively easy, not needing a great deal of care and are absolutely hardy – even here in cold soggy Kent!

They are visited by butterflies and bees, hoverflies and every pollinator so we hope that their value for our pollinators is appreciated.

This lovely lady can grow to around 8 feet over time flowing with flowers in late Spring to early Summer.

Any soil, full or part sun.
