Stachys – Byzantina (Lambs Ears) 2 litre pot

Generally known as “Lambs Ears” these are a favourite with children, stroking their leaves is such a lovely experience.  Stachys are wonderful ground cover for a hot area.  Silver Furry leaves are natures way of showing just what they need – sun and a little drainage, they do not like soggy bottoms and tend to rot off quite quickly if planted in a wet area.  Soft furry silver grey leaves, produces very tall spikes of beautiful pink flowers in summer which are adored by Bees and other pollinating insects. Stachys spreads readily and prefers a nice sunny position where left undisturbed they can cover quite a distance, always surrounded by bees they “buzz” loudly.
